Safe and on our way to Ghana…

For some reason my update post didn’t get up on the site, but we’re ok. Here’s what I thought was posted:

A Portugese war ship was in control of the situation here. We never saw the capsized ferry or any debris or passesengers. But were told that the ferry did sink, there were survivors but sadly some deaths. Our captain was instructed to scan the area for survivors, which we’ve been doing until just 20 minutes ago, going in cicles in a designated pattern. The Portugese just released us from the area. Needless to say this was an unnerving day.

Thanks for your words of concern.

  1. Wow! Glad to hear you’re safe. So sad for the loss of lives on the ferry. Hope the rest of your adventure is a bit more tame. Look forward to the stories you’ll have to tell when you’re back on island!

  2. Thank you…I was truly concerned when we didn’t hear from you. Here’s hoping that there will be no more unexpected and potentially unsafe delays.

    Hugs, Jocelyn

  3. Thank God! I’m use to reading about these things in the paper while sipping coffee. Never expected to know members of the adventurers club who would experience it first-hand. Wow! Whew!
