June 2022

We’re out in the world again, this time on a cruise around Iceland. I’m attempting to post photos but the wifi connections are spotty and slow. I’ll try to share with a link to a photo app, but who knows.

December 2021

Almost two years of pandemic related lockdown and no travel, we’re back out in the world on a cruise ship! I didn’t think we’d be comfortable cruising again until maybe 2022. But with vaccines and attention to all health protocols, we decided its time. Color us happy!

March 2020

Normally at this time of year we would be cruising somewhere out in the world to places as far away as Southeast Asia or South America. We didn’t make travel plans this year only because of the amount of commuting I did in 2019 for a job assignment. Who could have guessed that staying put would become one of the best decision we’ve ever made.

My heart goes out to everyone around the world who has been affected by the coronavirus. This is a devastating pandemic that will forever change how our world functions. Helplessness surrounds all of us as we watch the news and see the number of cases continue to rise in the country.

I’ve decided that this blog can serve a purpose for documenting travel adventures even in 2020; although the journey is more about being home than out in the far reaches of the world. There is beauty right in our backyard that I’ll capture in photos to share and messages about how we, as is the case for everyone, are handling our journey during this time of “containment”.

Enjoy, stay safe and healthy.

2019

I decided to create this blog as a way to share our travel adventures with family and friends through photographs and journal entries. Up until now I was sending email messages or text messages with photos and comments attached to different groups.  Thus this blog has been born. I hope you enjoy it and feel free to share the link with anyone you think would find our travel experiences interesting.
